League history
The iGPFun league started in 2003 and has run without interruption since then. Luca Varani actually started organizing league races, offline and then online, in 1998.

| 2003-2013 | Grand Prix Legends simulator. 90-minute races with no chance of reset. First to use personalized liveries online. Introduced novel approaches to limit the problems of online racing with the poor connections of the time, precursor of what is now the lap 1 no pass rule. We had post race videos, with 4-5 people working on them for a week (not as easy to make as today). |
| 2013 | Moved to iRacing in the Spec Racer Ford. The Sunday iGPFun race quickly became the pinnacle of SRF racing, with all the best drivers contesting the win. Launched the week 13 big grid special events, probably the first in road racing to put 60 cars on the grid. Look for the broadcasts on YouTube, they are worth watching. Started the yearly Formula Giving, Race for Vimala charity event, still running. |

| 2019 | Formula 3. Started to have live broadcast every week. 60 drivers regularly on track, we had more drivers than available spots. Again, the very best F3 drivers were battling it out in the league. Several successful real life drivers like Lando Norris (F1 world champion) and Alex Palou (IndyCar champion) raced with us. |
| 2024 | Dallara F324 Super Formula Lights. This consolidated the iGPFun Sunday race as arguably the race of the week for the best drivers, while also offering great racing to drivers of any experience. You are never too fast or too slow for iGPFun: everybody is welcome, and everybody has somebody close to their pace for clean racing. |
